Beautiful little getaway

We just stayed there a few weeks ago, in early November 2017. It was off-season so we were too late to do any of the boat or castle tours but we had an awesome, relaxing stay here and enjoyed exploring the beautiful little town. The room was clean and tidy. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, and there was a nice little breakfast of muffins and fruit and danishes in the morning. The view from our balcony was pretty and we had a great view of the big castle. The little downtown area with restaurants (the ones that were still open haha) was within walking distance or very close driving distance. We got a map and checked out some of little parks in the area, including their "best kept secret one" by the hospital (which has a little bridge - that was also closed for the season when we went, boohoo - to a little island). Absolutely beautiful little town to stay in, and we hope to return sometime!

Long awaited Getaway

The Riveredge Resort is great place to stay! It is an older hotel but has a lot of character! It's clean, our room was absolutely beautiful. We had a King Size with balcony on the St Lawrence River. A lot of thought was put into what guest would need! The Indoor pool and Jacuzzi was a plus. The staff was friendly! The pub was open for dinner mostly bar food but it was good. The location was great! Walking distance to downtown restaurants a distillery and shops. It was within a 3 to 5 minute walk to Uncle Sam's Boat Cruise. Best Hotel that we had ever stayed at! Highly recommended!

Great for group travels

We have utilized Riveredge Resort for the last 4 years and our groups of travelers always come away satisfied that they have had a great experience. Their Marketing office lines up all our group needs including reservations for the 1,000 Island Boat tour to meals...Alexandria Bay has plenty to do and is Family-friendly. Room Tip: book well in advance, summers are great

Best hotel experience I’ve had in a long time!!!!!

I attended a NYSMA convention 9/8 and 9/9 2017 and I had the most enjoyable stay in quite a while!!! From the moment I checked in to the time I checked out, the accommodations were superior!!! The room was clean and roomy, the staff were very attentive to my needs, the food was reasonably priced and the quality was very good!!! The bar and lounge on the 1st floor was great!!! Drink prices were lower than I expected for a hotel in Alexandria Bay and the bartenders were very outgoing and pleasant!!! The tiki bar outside by the pool was a relaxing place to have a drink or 2 after a long day of conferences!!! This was my first time staying there but it will not be my last!!!

Perfect for us!

Family trip to A-Bay with three children.. So we needed a hotel that would allow five people to a room, and Riveredge Resort provided what we needed. We stayed in a large room with a hot tub and two balconies. The hotel had two pools, dining facilities, bars and a game room for the kids. It had everything we needed and the location is right on the river across from the beautiful Boldt Castle! The staff was professional and courteous and more than willing to assist us when we needed anything. We will stay here again!
